Bazu Product Update: Watch-Only Workouts, Smart Warm-Ups, & More

Hey!

The latest Bazu update lets you train without your phone being a distraction.

You can now start and complete an entire workout on your Apple Watch—no iPhone needed. Warm-up sets automatically receive a suggested weight as soon as you tag them, eliminating the guesswork. Less time waiting on your phone, less guessing during warm-ups.

Your Watch, on its own

Apple Watch logging used to need your iPhone nearby. Not anymore. Start a workout directly on your Watch and it tracks every set, weight, and rest period fully on-device. Reconnect with your iPhone whenever you're ready and everything syncs back automatically — no action needed.

The payoff: The need to bring your phone to a training session has now been eliminated.

On an older version? Update Bazu first.

Create Routine

Warm-ups calculated

Mark a set as a warm-up and Bazu auto-suggests your warm up weight. Prefer a change? Your input takes priority. Remember warm up sets are automatically excluded from PRs, volume, and Progressive Overload targets.

Edit Any Completed Workout

Open any workout in History and edit it directly. Fix a weight or rep count, add a set you forgot to log, remove one you didn't do, re-pair or ungroup a superset, retitle the session, or correct the date and time. If the edit touches a set that earned a personal record, Bazu repairs your PR ledger in the background — History, Exercise Detail, and Insights stay in sync automatically.

Why it matters: A training log you can't trust is worse than no log at all. Mistakes happen — a rushed set, an interruption, a bad tap. Bazu now treats your history like the accurate record it's supposed to be, not a one-shot entry you have to get right the first time.

Also in this release:

  • Progressive Overload Targets, Prefilled Into Your Sets (Premium)
  • Workout History on Every Goal
  • Average heart rate and calories burned on every completed workout
  • Preview a routine's full exercise list before you start it
  • Personal Records in Your History
  • Open any exercise in Bazu and see your all-time bests instantly — heaviest load, rep records, best 1RM, top volume.
  • Live PR trophy on Apple Watch — Rest timer confirms a personal record right on your wrist
  • Faster exercise search
  • Larger exercise thumbnails
