Bazu Product Update: The Routine Library & Per-Exercise Goals

Hey there!

The Routine Library is live — unleash your potential with training programs built for real results. You can now kick-start your journey with a real weekly plan instead of facing an empty Routines tab. No more staring at a blank screen, no more guessing — just effective training that's meticulously planned.

Plus, every exercise in a routine can now have its own training goal, allowing one program to seamlessly blend heavy strength work with hypertrophy accessories without compromise.

Stop building programs. Start running them.

Open Routines → Browse Routine Library and pick from a catalog of complete programs organized by what you're training for — Strength, Build Muscle, Fat Loss, General — with a featured starter up top and a Quick workouts section for short sessions. Filter by experience, equipment, and how long you've actually got.

Read the whole program before you commit: every training day, every exercise, sets and supersets included, with each movement tappable for its guide.

The payoff: Less planning and more lifting.

Set a Goal for Every Exercise

Heavy squats for strength. Leg press for hypertrophy. Same routine, finally.

Every exercise in Create Routine and Edit Routine now has its own Goal control. Leave it on Automatic and nothing changes. Set it, and Bazu derives that exercise's target reps and recommended rest from your choice — shown to you before you save.

  • No reclassifying exercises, no touching your global training goals
  • Travels with the routine into the active workout, Progressive Overload targets, the rest timer, duration estimates, and Apple Watch

The payoff: Your program follows your intent for each lift, not the app's assumptions about it.

Also in this release:

  • Add a working set to the current exercise directly from Apple Watch — from the set-completion screen or the actions menu
  • Add a program and Bazu offers reminders matched to its weekly frequency — three days becomes Mon/Wed/Fri, asked once, never mid-workout, never over a schedule you already set
  • A new app icon across iPhone and Apple Watch, with a matching launch screen, rest timer widget, and Live Activity accent
  • Routine Library verified in dark mode, large text, AX3 accessibility sizes, and Increased Contrast
  • Favoriting a library exercise no longer risks losing your own edits to a custom exercise
