Bazu Product Update: Quick Swap, a Smarter Library & More

Hey there!

Every lifter knows the Monday moment: you walk into the gym pumped and ready to break a bench press PR, then you see the bench is taken. Delete the exercise or replace it — but replacing used to cost you several tabs. Not anymore. Quick Swap replaces any exercise with a curated alternative in one tap — same slot, same superset, same set count.

Previously, the Routine Library suggested the same programs to everyone, regardless of your goals and equipment. Now it tailors recommendations to you. And correcting a completed set on Apple Watch finally works reliably, every time.

Open Bazu to get the update.

The bench is taken? Quick Swap to the rescue.

Deleting an exercise and searching for a replacement used to cost you a search, several taps, and dropped the new exercise at the bottom of your list — order gone, superset broken. Not anymore.

Quick Swap replaces it instantly with a curated alternative. The menu names the destination before you commit — "Quick Swap → Dumbbell Bench Press" — so there's no guessing. Keep tapping to cycle through options, and it loops back to your original, so auditioning costs nothing.

  • Takes the exact slot of what it replaced — position, superset, set count, warm-up flag, and goal all carry over
  • No alternatives for that movement? The same control opens search in replace mode instead

The payoff: "exercise blocked" turns into a completed set instead of an abandoned workout.

A Library that actually knows you

Previously, everyone saw the same "Featured starter" in the Routine Library. Now Bazu shows you "Recommended for you" — a personalized pick based on your training goals, experience, frequency, and equipment. Your top match reorders the entire catalog to align with your unique needs.

If you don't have a profile, you'll still see the reliable "Featured starter." A new Sort control (Recommended / Newest) is included for easy navigation.

The payoff: personalization you can actually trust, and routines that read at a glance.

On an older version? Update Bazu first.

Also in this release:

  • The in-workout Progressive Overload chip is easier to read mid-set — green icon, heavier type
  • Tap an already-completed set on Apple Watch, change the weight or reps, and hit Update. The correction saves quietly — no rest timer restarts, no celebration fires, no navigating away
